Part One!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding for the very lovely and talented Karen Rusten. It was a very beautiful fall wedding. The couple (Michaela and Eric) were very sweet and I really enjoyed working with Karen and her friend Jill! I'm going to break this into two posts because :
A) There are A LOT of pictures.B) I don't want to bore you.
C) I'm not done!

Catching up.

Yes. I know. I haven't posted here in... A while... Okay FOREVER. I'm not very good with the blog thing.

Getting right down to it I had a shoot yesterday with an old friend from highschool, Jessica. She was looking for some head shots and modeling shots. It was really fun and really challenging because we were in a naturey sort of environment and it really contrasted with the bad ass chick vibe she has! I think in the end though we wound up working it!

These were all shot with an 85mm 1.8 that I have for 10 days. You will see why soon enough! :).

What this camera of mine has been doing this summer.

We have been very busy! I love my blog and I'm sorry I don't update it more. Anyways. It's been a REALLY busy summer. A life changing one too. So much has gone on, some good and some bad. I've documented all the good though. And i'm sharing some photos I haven't put on flickr here for you guys!

The moment you... I have been waiting for.

After months of scheming and planning and saving I finally got a new camera, and BONUS...Lens. I got the Nikon 300s + and a nikkor 50 mm 1.8. Gorgeous. I've been having so much fun just snapping. I still really have to figure out the manual and learn to adjust the camera to my own settings, but I figure i'm allowed a little honeymoon time with my new baby. I'll figure out all of the technical stuff soon. But enough talking... Here are a few snaps i've taken since I got it yesterday. :)

The Gardens

Had the opportunity to shoot the Japanese gardens at the buffalo historical society for a local client who got engaged there! It was a totally overcast and dreary-ish day but I had fun anyways! I've never ever been there so it was really nice to explore. SUCH a gorgeous place, i'm going to have to visit again. Plenty opportunities for good pictures.

Wedding Stalking.

Yesterday Josh and I had a fun day. We went out to lunch and I had the most amazing turkey/apple/brie baguette with dijon mustard and he had an apple and chicken salad. Mmm. Then we went to glen falls. A really pretty little location in amherst that is very popular for wedding photos. There were like three different weddings going on. So I stalked out some pictures, haha. It was kind of hard and I felt totally like the paparazzi but here ya go :

It was my 22nd birthday yesterday and I got a lensbaby muse and accessories kit! IT IS SO AWESOME. Here are just a few little shots I took when I got it! :)

Engaged.

My beautiful cousin is engaged! I'm so excited for her. I'm sure you will see some nice engagement pictures in the near future (when they come back to buffalo) :)

Tired.

Feeling a bit like my head is on the chopping block today. This was inspired a bit by a lovely photo of Elle Moss' (her's is better though, :))
